 Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre
The BC SPCA's Wild ARC centre provides humane care to injured, orphaned, sick and distressed wildlife. The centre, which is located on Vancouver Island and is the only facility of its kind, has treated over 20,000 animals to date. In recent years, the number of aquatic animals and birds needing care has increased dramatically. To cope with these lager numbers, Wild ARC has begun construction on a new Aquatics Facility.
Eaglecom Foundation is proud to support the construction of a series of pool systems within the new facility. The pools will provide living space for many animals such as river otters, beavers and mink, as well as birds such as ducks, geese and swans. The pool will also help animal care workers remove and separate oil from wildlife who have been harmed by oil spills.
